Solving violence with violence; where are we going…?

The untapped story of Vapositori which went viral in the past days has taken another ugly face, following the visit by Ndanga and riot police to the shrine to prescribe the ban on the allegation of child abuse among other immoral allegations being put forward on Vapositori Echishanu clan.

One wonders if the Ndanga team had a court order to ban the Vapositori, as enshrined in the new Zimbabwe Constitution, freedom of association is guaranteed and no one is forced to join an association; such that as of Ndanga and colleagues.

The child abuse issue should be condemned in totality, but proper investigation was needed before Ndanga become the law unto himself and the court of Zimbabwe.

The violence behavior of Vapositori should also be condemned, together with the intact presence of riot police at the shrine. The presence of the duo is being reported to have fueled the anger of Vapositori.

As it is not enough; a group of labeled hired thugs in the name of residence tried to solve the problem by another problem, violence by violence, I cannot confirm that there are ZANU PF youth, but there are youth who chanted iron fist slogan, burning the shrine and sing revolutionary songs.

These youth might thought that violence is defined as beating a person, not knowing that violence has an array of coverage that also constitutes their behavior of burning and destroying fellow citizens ‘s property , what if the courts  acquit the Vapositori of any charges.

The idea of taking law into our hands, outside the hands of the constitution should not be left unchecked, or else we move to a stateless society in which bush law is used to solve the problems.

One would expect the arrest of those who burnt the Vapositori shrine. Let’s say no to violence!

Let’s wait and see.
